Niklas Todt is an intern at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi), where he supports the Humanitarian Action team with their work on anticipatory action. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Human, Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cambridge.

Before joining GPPi, Niklas gained experience in organizational development and political communications while working as the Strategy and Technical Director at Re-Earth Initiative, a global youth-led climate justice non-profit, and as an intern and digital campaigner with the Social Democratic Party in Grison, Switzerland. He also worked as a research assistant at Lab42, an AI research lab, where he helped explore and communicate promising advances in artificial general intelligence (AGI) research.

Niklas’s interests lie at the intersection of climate action, humanitarian aid and systems thinking. In particular, he is keen to understand how organizational design and institutional arrangements accelerate or inhibit impact in humanitarian and climate action.
