Michael Okrob

Michael Okrob completed a two-year master of public policy program of the Hertie School Governance in June 2007 and is currently employed with McKinsey. Michael was a research associate with the Global Public Policy Institute from 2004 – 2005.
Michael received a BA in political science and economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN, USA. His research interests focus on the areas of global political economy, the role of private actors in international affairs and corporate social responsibility. In 2004, Michael was a GPPi Summer Fellow working on the Hertie School of Governance executive education seminar on “global public policy.” His work experience further includes internships with the Bertelsmann Foundation in Gütersloh, Germany and as a staffer with the state parliament of North-Rhine Westphalia. Michael contributed case studies to the joint GPPi-Global Compact study Business UNusual. Facilitating United Nations Reform Through Partnerships and also supported the MMSD History Project.
