Leo Wagener

Intern

Leo was an intern at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where he contributed to the institute’s work on global order. His research interests include the rise of a multipolar global order and the role that post-colonial heritage plays in it. 

Prior to joining GPPi, Leo worked as an intern at the German Federal Foreign Office in Berlin. He also worked as a student research assistant for the chair of international relations at the University of Erfurt, where he conducted research on international political economy, post-colonialism, and peace and security. Additionally, he taught seminars in international relations theory and comparative governance at the University of Erfurt. 

Leo is currently finishing his bachelor’s degree in international relations and social sciences at the University of Erfurt, for which he spent a semester abroad in Groningen. His studies are supported by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation.
