Intern

Darius Lee is an intern at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where he supports the Global Dialogue project. His research interests include the geopolitics of environmental resources (particularly the resource-climate-security nexus), non-state actor participation in global resource governance, EU-Asia trade regulation, and the relationship between development cooperation and human rights protection within supply chains.

Before joining GPPi, Darius gained experience in policy analysis and socio-environmental compliance, particularly related to emerging EU-level regulation on human rights and environmental protection. Previously, he worked for REWE, leading projects on supply chain sustainability compliance and corporate policy development. He also served as a research intern at Fraunhofer ISI and an intern at WWF Hong Kong.

Darius holds a master’s in Environmental Governance from the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg, where he explored global environmental politics and governance arrangements through the lens of various political economy and systems transition theories.
