Caroline Rübe works as a research assistant at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where they contribute to the Powering Wealth Project. Their interests include climate politics, family capitalism and political economy.

Before joining GPPi, Caroline worked as a project member at Konzeptwerk Neue Ökonomie, a non-profit organization that develops alternatives for a more just and ecological economy. They have further developed their research skills through a student assistant position at the Otto-Suhr-Institute.

Currently, they work as an editor at Surplus Magazine, where they focus on the implications the climate crisis holds for the (re-)production of the global economy.

Caroline holds a dual bachelor’s degree in political and social sciences from Sciences Po and Freie Universität Berlin.
