Ansgar Baums
Non-Resident Fellow
Ansgar Baums is a non-resident fellow at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) who is based in Washington, DC. He is also a Helmut Schmidt Fellow of the German Marshall Fund and Zeit-Stiftung and co-founder of Geotech Advisory LLC, a consultancy firm specializing on the impact of geopolitics on technology.
He is the author of two compendiums on digital policy in Germany and regularly publishes on strategic government relations management in the GR Blog. Ansgar was a Marshall Memorial Fellow of the German Marshall Fund in 2018 – 2019.
Ansgar holds a diploma in political science from Free University in Berlin, as well as a master’s degree in international strategy and economics from University of St. Andrews.
