Aditi Mukund is a Humboldt Foundation German Chancellor Fellow at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin. Her research explores the intersection of climate and human security within maritime governance frameworks of the Indian Ocean Region. A key aspect of her research includes advancing gender-inclusive perspectives in foreign policy.

In parallel, Aditi co-chairs Generation EU-India (GenEI), a youth network to foster dialogue and collaboration between young leaders from the EU and India.

Previously, Aditi was a Program Associate at the Kubernein Initiative, a Mumbai-based geopolitical advisory and think tank, where she led projects on gender and feminist foreign policy, focusing on India, the Indo-Pacific and the EU. In addition to her policy research, she has worked with start-ups, non-profits and research organizations on projects related to gender in international development, sustainability, and tackling misinformation and disinformation. While in India, she founded the Women in International Relations Network, a platform that seeks to amplify the voices of women in international security, foreign policy, and peacebuilding, with a specific focus on India and the Global South.

Aditi holds a master’s degree in International Studies from Symbiosis University, Pune, and has a dual bachelor’s in Mass Media and in English Literature and Psychology from the University of Mumbai.
