How are rising powers changing peace operations?

Through peace operations, rising powers play an increasingly important role in maintaining peace and security at the regional and global level. However, their impact on peace operations is under-researched. GPPi and NUPI explored this in a joint workshop on November 28, with researchers from Europe, Turkey, Egypt and India. The workshop highlighted gaps in current research, which can be filled by studying rising powers’ domestic politics and ideas for how to conceptualize and carry out peace operations.
