Discussion on encryption needs broader debate
When it comes to discussing encryption in Germany, how can government agencies and specifically law enforcement be more engaged in the discussion? This was a key question raised by the “Open Debate on the Politics of Encryption,” held at Wikimedia in Berlin on July 20. Organized by the Global Internet Governance Academic Network and supported by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the panel included Joseph Hall, Linus Neumann and Christine Runnegar and was moderated by Mirko Hohmann.
