Institutional interests hinder change in the humanitarian system
Efforts to reform the humanitarian system are ineffective as long as they do not address underlying institutional and political barriers, argued Julia Steets during a panel discussion at the Overseas Development Institute in London on June 13 – now available to watch on video. The event marked the official launch of the GPPi study Drivers and Inhibitors of Change in the Humanitarian System. Panelists discussed whether the agreements made at the recent World Humanitarian Summit will make humanitarian action more effective.
