Dublin Regulation and EU-Turkey relations will shape EU refugee policy

Reform of the Dublin Regulation and cooperation between the EU and Turkey will be the most important issues shaping the next months of EU refugee policy. This was the consensus during a June 20 panel discussion, moderated by Julian Lehmann, at the 2016 Berlin Refugee Symposium, supported by GPPi and 16 other partner organizations. Lehmann discussed the prospects of a common EU asylum policy with Elisabeth Kotthaus, representative of the EU Commission in Germany, and Morton Kjaerum, director of the Raoul Wallenberg Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law.
