GPPi leads workshops for aid agencies on monitoring and evaluation in insecure settings

During six workshops with international and local aid actors operating in South Sudan, Somalia, Afghanistan and Syria, Julia Steets, Elias Sagmeister and Lotte Ruppert presented research findings from the Secure Access in Volatile Environments (SAVE) program. Participants discussed strategies for improving M&E practices – for instance, strengthening the capacity of implementing agencies that work close to the field and setting up more-effective mechanisms for communicating with affected communities.
