GPPi book on EU–Chinese human rights dialogue reviewed in Foreign Affairs

Katrin Kinzelbachs The EU’s Human Rights Dialogue with China (2014) is the subject of a capsule review in the January/​February 2016 issue of Foreign Affairs. Kinzelbach’s book chronicles the EU’s use of quiet diplomacy to influence China’s human rights policies from 1995 to the present day, and she ultimately argues that the EU must rethink this approach. Princeton’s Andrew Moravcsik called the book the best study of Western human rights policy toward China and of informal human rights dialogue in print.”
