EU–India strategic partnership needs an overhaul
The strategic partnership between the European Union and India is based on the outdated framework of the Joint Action Plan, which offers a set of statements instead of a clear roadmap towards cooperation, argued Garima Mohan at the EU – India Think-Tank Roundtable in New Delhi on November 3. The comparative advantages of cooperating with the EU have not been clearly articulated to India, the reason why the country prefers traditional bilateral cooperation with the United Kingdom, France and Germany.
