Human rights diplomacy must adapt in order to effectively challenge counter-strategies
As opponents of human rights make use of counter-narratives that contest universal norms, human rights diplomacy must adapt to this new environment by setting strategic priorities and supporting domestic transformation, argued Katrin Kinzelbach at the annual German Ambassadors Conference. Kinzelbach, who was co-hosting a roundtable on counter-strategies to human rights promotion, said that human rights diplomacy must focus its efforts, rather than seeking to push a wide range of rights.
