Blame for the ongoing crisis in Iraq cannot be assigned to one person, wrote Wendy Anderson in a brief commentary for Politico, which asked experts to answer the question ​“Who lost Iraq?”, with Barack Obama and George W. Bush in mind. Anderson said Obama’s current strategy has been ​“sound,” but he could do more, including speeding up the pace of providing Iraqis with training and equipment, and even arming Sunni fighters. ​“Whether Iraq has been lost remains to be seen,” she wrote.
