WFP accepts all recommendations made by GPPi evaluation
The World Food Programme accepted the recommendations presented in a recent GPPi evaluation of the organization’s emergency preparedness. According to the report, the number and complexity of large-scale emergencies currently overwhelm WFP capacities, and effective change must involve on-the-ground workers. In response, WFP has committed itself to establishing a trust fund for capacity strengthening and implementing mandatory trainings, among other measures. The full evaluation report, short report, and management response are available in English, French, Spanish and Arabic.
