Germany should prioritize global conflict management in its pending defense white paper

As the German government develops a new white paper on its security policy and armed forces, it should prioritize effective global conflict management, argued Philipp Rotmann at a April 13^th workshop held at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik, a think tank in Berlin. The redraft is an opportunity to invest in global conflict management as a whole rather than just contributing piecemeal to individual crises, Rotmann said. The workshop was part of a series of consultations by the ministry of defense.
