On 12 March 2015 GPPi and Fundação Getulio Vargas hosted a workshop on foreign and security policy challenges during the second Dilma Administration in São Paulo, where researchers, diplomats, journalists and civil society representatives from across the country debated Brazil’s future role in the world as well as possible Brazilian contributions to the protection of civilians from atrocity crimes. The workshop is part of a GPPi project on debates over the responsibility to protect in Brazil, China and South Africa.
