New America Foundation and GPPi host cyber security conference

On September 18 – 19, GPPi and the New America Foundation’s Open Technology Institute held a conference in Washington, DC with experts from Europe and the US to examine the political consequences of proposals for ​“technological sovereignty” as well as to develop policy recommendations to ensure a free, open and secure internet in the event of a major cyber incident. The conference is part of the project ​“Transatlantic Dialogues on Security and Freedom in the Digital Age.” Representing GPPi were Thorsten Benner, Mirko Hohmann, Tim Maurer (also of OTI), Oliver Read and Isabel Skierka.
