New challenges looming in EU-Africa EPA negotiations, panel discussion reveals

On June 3, Clara Weinhardt moderated a panel discussion on the perks and perils of the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) between the European Union and African regions. Hosted by the Friedrich Ebert Foundation (FES) in Berlin, the panel discussion revealed that future problems and risks are expected as a result of the EU’s decision to withdraw preferential market access from countries that have signed but not ratified the EPA as of 1 October 2014.
