Germany should prepare for more confident Indian foreign policy, says GPPi researcher

Gerrit Kurtz has published an op-ed in the German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau, predicting renewed confidence of India’s foreign policy after the historic change in government. Kurtz calls on Germany to reflect on some of its assumptions regarding a liberal international order. Be it in climate or trade negotiations, patent rules for pharmaceuticals or the power distribution in the UN Security Council, Kurtz predicts India will question existing rules that cement historical injustices or ignore the country’s domestic challenges.
