Next 18 months crucial for the future of internet governance, says GPPi fellow

The next 18 months will be crucial in determining the future direction of internet governance, say Tim Maurer and co-authors Camino Kavanagh and Eneken Tikk-Ringis in a report for the ICT for Peace Foundation published in May 2014. According to the authors, cooperation and trust are declining as more events related to the malicious use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) by governments and non-state actors make headlines. The report provides a baseline review of processes, events and implications for international and regional security relating to ICTs.
