GPPi and partners announce Global Governance 2022 fellows

GPPi and its project partners are happy to announce the 24 fellows who in 2012 – 2013 will take part in the Global Governance 2022 programundefined, or GG2022. Through the program, these young leaders devise scenarios for the future of international institutions in the areas of cyber security, development and energy governance. The 24 GG2022 fellows – eight each from China, Germany and the US – were selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants by the GG2022 steering committee.

Between August 2012 and May 2013, GG2022 brings together the 24 fellows for three dialogue sessions in Berlin, Beijing and Washington, DC. The fellows will form three working groups that focus on either global cyber security governance, global energy governance or global development governance. Each working group will then look forward 10 years and identify a number of possible future scenarios regarding the shape of global governance in their respective focus areas. Fellows will disseminate the results of their working group through a final report, op-eds in major publications, policy papers, journal articles and high profile presentations.

The program is conducted in collaboration with the Brookings Institution, the Hertie School of Governance, the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, Tsinghua University and Fudan University. The program is generously supported by the Robert Bosch Stiftung and the Transatlantic Program of the German Government (ERP Grant administered by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology).

GG2022 builds on the success of the GG2020 program. To learn about the topics covered during GG2020 and to meet the GG2020 fellows, please visit the GG2020 websiteundefined.
