Anne-Marie Slaughter joins GPPi advisory board

Anne-Marie Slaughter, Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, has agreed to join GPPi’s advisory board. Slaughter is one of the most influential scholars working at the interface of international law and international relations and a leading voice in the debate on US foreign policy and global governance. Her most recent book A New World Order (Princeton University Press 2004) outlines a vision for global governance based on government networks bringing together government officials from different countries to tackle trans-border challenges. In her forthcoming book The Idea That Is America. Keeping Faith with our Values in A Dangerous World (Basic Books) she looks to America’s founding principles for a guide to foreign policy-making in the 21st century. Anne-Marie Slaughter is also a co-director of the Princeton Project on National Security. The project’s final report Forging a World of Liberty Under Law, U.S. National Security In The 21st Century was presented in September 2006. She is also the Bert G. Kerstetter 66 University Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University and a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. She also serves on the board of the Council on Foreign Relations.
