GPPi’s Jan Martin Witte gave presentation to a meeting of United Nations partnership officials in Geneva
On May 26, GPPi Associate Director Jan Martin Witte presented the preliminary findings of the institute’s research on partnerships between United Nations organizations and business to an audience of more than 70 United Nations officials working with the private sector, as well as selected representatives from civil society and the business community.
The presentation was part of a two-day UN Private Sector Focal Points conference in Geneva from May 26 – 27, 2005. Click here to download the presentation.
As part of its project “The U.N. and Partnerships: Taking Stock and Sketching a Way Forward,” GPPi has conducted several dozen small case studies of UN-Business partnerships, and carried out surveys with United Nations staff as well as more than 150 companies worldwide to find out more on the scope, depth, and performance of the UN’s business engagement.
The final research report will serve as a draft for the UN Secretary General’s report on partnerships to the General Assembly, due in September 2005.
